Concurrency Exception

SYMPTOM

The following error message displays when saving or editing payers, recipients, forms, and transactions:

"Concurrency Exception this record has been updated by another user. Would you like to refresh from the database?".
 
or
 
“Concurrency Exception”.

CAUSE

The most common cause for this error is invalid Regional Settings. If the time format is not set to a windows default type the database is unable to determine when changes are being made, resulting in the exception.

RESOLUTION

Procedure 1 (Verify Regional Settings)

  1. Access the Windows Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key on the keyboard.
  2. Type "intl.cpl" without the quotes in the Open field.
  3. Click OK.
  4. In Windows 7, 8 and 10, click Additional settings...
  5. In Windows Vista, click Customize this format...
  6. In the Time tab:
    1. Verify the Time format is set to "h:mm:ss tt".
    2. Verify the AM symbol is set to "AM".
    3. Verify the PM symbol is set to "PM".
    4. Verify the location is set to "United States".
  7. In the Date tab:
    1. Verify that Short date is set to "M/d/yyyy".
    2. Verify that Long date is set to "dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy".
  8. Click OK.
